Early in 2008, a few young teachers from government schools in Stellenbosch, Durbanville and Paarl approached Foundation for Cross-Cultural Education (FCE) with the request of presenting a motivational and equipping seminar for them. They shared their frustrations of being Christian teachers in a government school. They often experienced being isolated and having to stand alone on matters of principles and having to cope with resistance from colleagues and parents. It is often not easy for them to live out their Christian witness and not to compromise.
